We are the introduction, not the service. Fixora Zone Pvt. Ltd. connects you with independent professionals and room owners. It does not perform any home service, own or let any property, and does not employ the people who do. Whatever happens between you and them is between you and them.
1. Our role
Fixora Zone Pvt. Ltd. is an intermediary under section 2(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and a marketplace e-commerce entity under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. We provide the technology that lets two independent parties find each other and agree a booking.
We do not, at any time:
- perform, supervise, inspect, certify or guarantee any work;
- own, manage, inspect, value or let any room or property;
- employ or engage professionals or owners — none of them is our worker, agent, partner or representative;
- set the price of a service, choose the materials, or control how, when or by whom the work is done;
- act as an estate agent, broker, contractor, valuer or adviser of any kind.
Listings, prices, descriptions, photographs, availability and qualifications are supplied by the professionals and owners themselves. We publish them; we do not warrant them.
2. What “verified” means — and what it does not
Service professionals complete a KYC check against a government ID before they may take bookings. That check confirms identity only. It is not a warranty of skill, competence, honesty, licensing, insurance, punctuality, or the quality or safety of any work.
Room listings are not verified at all. They are open: anyone with an account may publish one. We do not check ownership, title, possession, photographs, rent, deposit terms, legality, habitability or safety. Treat every listing as an unverified advertisement placed by a stranger, and inspect before you pay anything.
3. What we are not liable for
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fixora Zone Pvt. Ltd. accepts no liability for, and gives no warranty in respect of:
- the quality, timeliness, safety, legality or completeness of any service performed by a professional;
- any loss, theft, damage or destruction of property, and any injury, illness or death, arising from a service or a visit;
- the conduct of any professional, owner or user — including misrepresentation, fraud, abuse, harassment, discrimination or criminal acts;
- a professional or owner failing to appear, cancelling, arriving late, or abandoning work part-way;
- the accuracy of any listing, photograph, price, description, qualification or availability;
- the condition, title, ownership, legality, habitability or safety of any room or property;
- any money you pay to a room owner or to a professional outside the Platform — including rent, deposits, brokerage, tokens and advances;
- any agreement, tenancy, lease or arrangement you enter into with another user;
- anything that happens after contact details are exchanged and the parties deal with each other off the Platform;
- interruption, downtime, data loss, or the acts of third parties such as payment gateways, SMS providers, hosting or map services;
- indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, and any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity or data.
4. Limitation of liability
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims connected with a booking — regardless of how the claim is framed, whether in contract, tort, statute or otherwise — is limited to the amount you actually paid to us through the Platform for that booking.
For rooms, where no money is ever paid to us, that amount is nil and our liability is correspondingly nil.
5. Your responsibility
Before and during any engagement, you are expected to:
- satisfy yourself as to the suitability of the professional or the property;
- inspect a room and verify ownership documents before paying anything;
- supervise work carried out in your home and secure valuables;
- keep your own insurance in place — we do not insure you, your property or the work;
- never pay a deposit or advance for a room without independent verification.
6. Third-party links and services
The Platform may link to or rely on third-party services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, for our own fraud, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot be contracted out of. Where any provision here is held unenforceable, it is severed and the remainder continues in full force.
